Top 50 player. But, he was supposed to be better, and was compared to Bill Russell. Supposedly Bulls management flirted with trading Jordan before D-Rob made his NBA debut, even though it didn't happen and it would have been a clusterfukk, but that's how big the hype for him was.

Hes a HOFer tho,hes got great numbers, won a scoring title, was an MVP during the Bulls 90s run,was a 8-9 all star..i dont get the he was supposed to be better notion,he was a top 10 all time 5...if he had a Kobe riding shotgun in his prime he woulda won titles in his prime and not later....

Oh no doubt, he was a great player, but its just his softness at times, you can't blame him though, and him not being "the guy" and getting destroyed by The Dream is what most will talk about with D-Rob when compared to other great centers. And also a lot of people practically discredit his 2 rings due to him playing with Duncan and how great Duncan was.

Would you put him on the same tier as KAJ/Shaq/Wilt/Hakeem/Russell?

Its not a diss to say he's second tear in what's the GOAT position

Do i think he's as good as them, NO, but i don't he's had less talent around him in his prime and that's a legit reason to say he hasn't won as much as them.

Well i think the ring argument is silly when judging a players career and greatness...He played on some great reg season teams that werent built for the playoffs and as we know no 1 dominant player can win titles by themself...You can discredit where the rings happened in his career but NOT his career greatness...2nd tier big men do not win scoring titles and MVPs and DPOYs..thats elite class...Yea he isnt above Shaq or Dream but those are top 5 all time Centers thats no consolation or slight to DRob it doesnt hurt his legacy to say he was 3rd best among possibly the best and 2nd or 3rd best centers that ever lived...

People that just watch you tube highlights and see the accolades on paper but never lived thru that era wouldnt get how great he was instead of just referring to him as Shaq or Dreams lil bro...

Hes not above Shaq or Hakeem but he is in that class of elite 1st tier centers...Someone has to be 3rd amongst 3 guys dont mean hes a tier below...

He's the 4th best Center since the NBA-ABA Merged

1) Hakeem Olajuwon
2) Shaquille O'Neal
3) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
4) David Robinson
5) Patrick Ewing

He was great at elevating marginal talent to Great regular season success.

It would be nice to see him play with elite wing talent. Like a Dwayne wade or a Tracy Mcgrady in their Primes for example

Around top 20-25 IMO. Off the top of my head these players are clearly ahead of him, in no order;

Jordan, Magic, Bird, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Garnett, Robertson, Malone, Erving, Kareem, West, Moses Malone, Nowitzki, LeBron, Wade.

To me, he's somewhere around Barkley, Pettit and maybe even Nash but ahead of Ewing, Pippen, Stockton and that tier of players.

Two major problems in placing him in the top 20; weak playoff performer compared to his RS work and longevity really hurts him.
