If we had a draft with only these qbs,and you knew you would only have them for the ammount of years they actually played, Plus only have them at their peak for however long their peak was when they played,But you got to build the rest of the team around them to your liking. You would not pick Mcnabb over Vick,Dak or Cam
Because you know like i know,his peak isnt good enough to win a superbowl. Cant say that anybody else on my list imo. You could argue what he couldve been if he always had a T.O. But you could also argue he only went to the superbowl because they had T.O.

McNabb clears Vick and it's not really debatable imo. Vick had the highlight reel plays and culture on lock but as far as actual quarterbacking is concerned McNabb was better. Could pass better, read coverages better, etc. I think Vick was a better passer than his stats show in Atlanta but he was not as good in a structured offense like McNabb was
McNabb gets a lot of flak for his wormballs but when he was playing he had one of the best TD-INT ratios in history, he made pretty good decisions with the football. Of his generation I'd say McNair's his only real competition, that one's a coin toss but I'd flip McNabb
Think Randall and Moon at their best are both better. Mahomes, Lamar and Russ all clear as well. Cam is interesting because at his best I feel like he's better but McNabb was more consistent. Yes he's top 10 black QB but what is that really even saying given the historical barriers for black QBs in the league. Like how many people think he'll be a top 10 black QB in 10-20 yrs now that the position is rightfully open to all qualified players?
- McNabb was good but def benefitted from a trash NFC East during his prime
- Had the benefit of being coached by an offensive scheme genius and pioneer and we saw how bad McNabb play fell off a cliff at age 33 once they separated. He was out the league 2 yrs later
- McNabb had a good deep ball but was overly conservative (worm balls) and the scheme was "safe" with Reid creating plays that mostly relied on RB screens and TE plays. Would be interesting to see what % of McNabbs career yards can be attributed to YAC.
- Having better receivers is always a net gain (TO year) but harping on the eagles receivers from that era is kind of disingenuous since the scheme never relied on good receivers. In fact Reid himself had personnel control and never prioritized elite receivers cause his scheme didn't need them (see recent Chief rosters for consistency in Reids philosophy) . Reid thought that draft capital was more valuable spent in the trenches and that kind of been proven true during his career. McNabb enjoyed top 5 offensive lines for the majority of his career and a top defense coached by legend Jim Johnson
- I'd put McNabb in like the Matt Ryan tier fwiw. Good QB who you can build a franchise around but there is just ALOT of guys i'd take over him, especially if we talking absolute prime for prime
