No one in the city ever saw Fab as an elite MC. NYC has way too many ill MC's for Fab to even be ranked. He's never done anything that could touch the work of the city's best rappers. At a certain point, he was very popular with high school kids, when everyone was rocking the over-sized jerseys and all that. But as far as his contributions, in just being honest, his whole career is basically forgettable.

He's top 7 and you're either disconnected or hating if you say otherwise.

Nobody from his era (other than Lox) is still rapping on a mainstream level, still getting features etc and most importantly, still dropping nice bars.

Not a bad list but my thing is, when yall say "top 10" or whatever, what exactly do yall mean? Because RAPPING, making shyt rhyme and sound good, 75% of the list can't fukk with Fab. Now if you're talking about legends or "classics" or whatever, then maybe this list is valid

Now to be clear, he was always a good tier behind, but that's moreso of his career mismanagement..

He had the "tools" on paper to be in that discussion..
