Hornacek was never at 50/50/90,

At the break? You sure about that?

do you understand Korver had one of the highest TS%'s of All-Time at the All-Star break?

Yes, I do.

Hornacek also played with a shorter three point line in those Jazz years, and he wasn't taking threes at a comparable volume.

He didn't have to - he was playing with 2 other All-World players.

Korver is also a better defender than Hornacek,

WHOA - iono about that.

Hornacek was a better overall player by a bit factoring in his playmaking,

...which was my point. Hornacek was a better player overall than Kyle Korver is, who had similar success on a successful team,
that did not get chosen for an All-Star team.

but you have to understand the Hawks success coming into the All-Star break,

No I don't. Eastern Conference, doe.

People like to pick on Korver but look B.J. Armstrong started the All-Star Game in '94 he was basically to Michael what Mario Chalmers was to LeBron. :bryan:

Kobe Bryant started the All-Star Game in '98 averaging like 15 points a game on 42% FG, when he wasn't even a starter on his own team. :wtf:

They were All-Star teams where Jamaal Magloire and Antonio Davis STARTED :scust:

The fans vote for the starters, doe. Kyle Korver was chosen by non-fans.
- Jamaal Magloire did not start an ASG.
- Tone only started one because Zo was injured.

I'm pretty sure, Korver was on pace to have the only 50/50/90 season in league history at that point his numbers dipped a little but he ended up pretty close.

Hornacek's game was a little bit different than Korver that's why he didn't take that many threes, on those Jazz teams Korver would still be taking 6 threes per game and he would absolutely feast with the shorter three point lines of the mid to late '90's.

Korver is a better defender. Korver has always been underrated on defense and has been praised by Tom Thibodeau for his defense, he's of course limited man to man but he's a good team defender and understands concepts well. He's had a + defensive box plus minus for like that last 5 seasons, Hornacek was usually in the -, he tried but he was undersized and not that athletic.

Hornacek could have made an All-Star team in the mid to late 90's, if Nick Van Exel could get in so could Hornacek he just wasn't lucky. :yeshrug:

Why do conferences matter, Korver made the team in the East right? Also the Hawks won 62 games it's safe to say they were beating everyone and had a great record against the Western Conference. Again, part of the reason they were so good was because of Korver's impact on offense, they 12.5 points worse per 100 possessions a huge drop. You see why ATL has struggled in the playoffs because he isn't playing at that same level and the Hawks are running into teams with size.

He was at 18 PPG at 45% pre-all star game, he just had a terrible 2nd part of the season that brought his averages down. Plus, he was selected by fans and there have been worse selections.

Carter in 03 was averaging roughly the same numbers as 98' Kobe but only played in 15 games pre-all star. That was the year he gave MJ his starting spot.

Wasn't really anything anybody could do about what JR did. All those 3s were contested just about
You can play deny defense and stop him from getting the ball...Or stop sagging off and biting on LeBron's penatration...

If you are a All Star caliber talent that is
