Sadly this usually happens to players who relied on explosion and quick twitch athletecism.
His athleticism is still there. Russ is also a really good locker room guy despite the hit job that came out of the Lakers/Klutch. I'd say overall he was more lockedin defensively. The issue is whoever is defending him gets to sag off a large majority of the time fukking up your spacing. Additionally, he wants a larger role than his limitations should allow.

Sadly this usually happens to players who relied on explosion and quick twitch athletecism. I still remember steve francis post injury how it looked like he couldnt even dribble a basketball up the court as a starting point guard after his explosiveness died. He melo on the blazers charity status at this point. If he displays any sort of bad attitude i guarantee it will be a wrap...

I'm a bit confused by your post. Russell Westbrook is still explosive and athletic and can contribute

He made 340 M ....if I was him, I would retire. I can see the Heat still needing him.

:dahell:
westbrook is only 35 and avg 12 points in 22mpg on 45% with 5 boards and 5 assists last year and has no issues coming off the bench

Westbrook as a 30mpg player jacking up shots hell no

westbrook as a backup pg hell yes

Russ doesn't fit on a contending team nor a young team. What he needs is a team that is content competing for the play in tourney and wants a big name.

Nets, Bulls... come on down.
