He got to cocky and made to many enemies in rappers and their fans industry people and bloggers. Plus times have changed the style of music he makes isn't what today's teenagers are listening to and he isn't a friendly guy like these other guys who are all best friends and make songs with each other.

His the big bad guy everyone loves to hate the new suge knight

When people say he fell off his music is wack they are straight hating.

Was listening to the big 10 the other day and every track on their is fire.

People say he is "still dropping good music". How many good songs has he dropped since June 2012?

One? Maybe two?

I agree with whoever said people don't buy that hard street shyt anymore. Soft rap is what sells these days.

Also 50's content is pretty shallow/limited, and I think some people just don't want to hear the same stuff re-hashed over and over. He talks about money, drugs, guns, violence/murder, and that's about it. Doesn't have any kind of depth in his content. I personally don't have a problem with that because I know what to expect from 50 and I like his music for what it is, and I thought BISD was a solid album - best album he's put out following GRODT imo. Also part of the problem is he doesn't make very good singles, so he can't really get an album hyped up with that. He also tries too hard to make girly/romance type of songs which just don't work very well for him - the last 4 tracks on BISD were all garbage.

Ehhh 50 didnt do anything wrong... He had a great rap career, he was absolutely on top for a good 4 years, and winding down for another 2. Very few rappers have longer runs, Not as big but dude who managed to be upper echelon 7 years after they dropped we got Jay-Z, Nas, LL cool J...

He just didnt break out and have the longevity of a GOAT rapper... thats not a 'wrong' its like asking why Nas never sold 10 million on a single album... it just doesnt happen like that... Eminem only one i can think of that had a longer run that still selling amazing number of records... and 50 aint Eminem

Burn bridges with everyone and cry about it when you fall off, brehs
I'll never understand people that use this argument ... then explain how Nelly fell off then? He hardly beefed with anyone yet his music career is in the same position as 50's.

To answer the thread question, I think its because his music didn't "evolve" most of 50's catalog is goon raps. He might stay to that formula so he still have a core fanbase, I remember hearing that's why Mobb Deep music never evolved... cause they would risk upsetting there core fanbase if they switched it up :manny:

Also not everyone can be Jay, Nas and LL when it comes to longevity, some people reign on top is gonna be short like leopardcons, just a harsh reality of the rap game :manny:

His style of music isn't as popular as it once was.
Interscope/Shady/Aftermath don't seem to like him at all.
His peers don't want to get down with him either.

He went wrong by getting too arrogant. All of that Makevellian bs doesn't work in the long run. It only gets you more in more enemies until you destroy yourself.

Because of 50's theatrics he could only make music within his lil clique, which stifled his sound and appeal. Nelly can jump on a track with T.I. or anybody and make a hit. And Nelly gets release dates still :youngsabo:

He blew his load musically. In the end he's doesn't have the same level of talent that Jay, Nas, Em or Kanye have. He had his moment to shine and he made the most of it. His street material just didn't have the same impact after he made 100 million dollars, and his commercial hits were more "hot" than "good". His first three hits (Wanksta/In Da Club/21 Questions) will still be hot 5 years from now but hits like "PIMP", "Disco Inferno" and "Candy Shop" sound pretty corny now. He doesn't really say much that sticks on "I Get Money".
Yeah he makes solid tunes here and there but he's not saying anything fresh or interesting, the skills just aren't there. Add on the fact that rap is all about being eccentric now (even Jay's tries to be eccentric now) and you'll see that he's over.
