:manny:

Think of it like this...
Say there's somebody completely new to both franchises. You give them the latest Tekken (Tekken 6 I guess... Tekken Tag 2 is a different beast) iteration, and you give them the latest VF iteration.

This player doesn't have any previous knowledge of either game's mechanics or rosters/movesets. Which game would this player reach the level of being somewhat decent in first in your opinion and why?
Virtual fighter. I seen @GoldenGlove mad and furious taking ls to some cats using newb moves in virtua fighter lobbies.

You can get scrubbed out easy in any 3d fighter. Characters got a trillion moves so mashing ups your unpredictability and can score wins, sometimes easily, against experienced players

I've got wins with average Tekken play against higher calibre players. I'm lucky to get a round against top VF players and VF is my preferred fighter

I find Tekken to be more casual and noob friendly but I'm sure that's what they are going for with the large, diverse roster.

Yeah, that's true to some extents. And you don't typically see that happen in most 2d fighters none either. One reason is that 3d fighters, the energy bars deplete a helluva lot faster as well. and a lot of "special" moves and combos can be done easily by just pressing buttons in various orders and changing directions up. It's moreso if you're caught off guard or something. But an experienced player will still ultimately prevail regardless of what dimension they're fighting in.

Got ya homie

Lets get some games in dawg

When you see me on just shoot me an invite and I'll come and play some Tekken games. The only time it might take a while is if I'm already in a Street Fighter endless lobby with some cats from TheColi

I was never good at 3d fighters like tekken.

King of Fighters and Street Fighter tho, I'd rock any nikka in that.

It's going to be Tekken x Street Fighter, they said they were going to start work on that game after development of Tekken Tag 2 was finished.

.....though I would love a Tekken 7......

and I'm hoping is not going to be that rumored Pokken (Tekken: Pokemon Edition) project
