You're looking at this too deeply. Whoever established it and for whatever reason is meaningless. Somebody made the connection, and it took on a life of its own and became symbolic during a time when black people couldnt combat it. A stereotype doesnt seek to be credible, accurate, or rich with meaning and depth --- its a racist idea, not a term paper, and by its very nature its dumb and meant to insult not inform.

It was manufactured just like the Fried Chicken one. It just so happens that hood people eat a lot of junk food, and there happened to be a lot of KFCs.

exactly. those are BOTH things that every group/race/whatever eats but you let these CACs get ahold of the imagery of our people and you get visuals of buffoons tearing into a piece of watermelon.
