Last game we got was that garbage hell shyt. Note I said 3, not The Third. I'm talking about a legit sequel to 2 that doesn't have all that goofy shyt The Third brought into the series.

They don't know shyt about balance. I don't know how much crack they were smoking when they decided to have aliens invade and turn the series into a parody of itself. What's even worse is that early in The Third Johnny talks about how he felt the gang was a joke and had gone soft which I thought was hinting at the goofy shyt only lasting for a small portion of the game but instead we get even more goofy and this motherfukker stars in a game where he is literally sent to hell
Then you have them shoving Kinzie into the limelight like she was a good character, Shaundie switched her whole personality out of the blue, your character is a bytch now, your gang doesn't even bang anymore and I...I just can't

Yeah, SR went a bit too far. I didn't even mess with the last one with the aliens. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. They need to re-focus.

I really like Saints Row 4 but I look at that game as a superhero game. I do agree that Saints Row 2 was the true successor and rival to the GTA franchise and we need another game like that

Real shyt, I played part 3 for a while tho before i got turned off aftet a while.. if they would have stayed true to the first 2 and kept online, they would be good. Sooner or later they will have to reboot the series.

Saints Row 2 was perfect. Didn't take itself too seriously and also didn't try to make everything a joke.
Was "Menace ll Society" and "Don't Be A Menace" at the same damn time.
My favorite crime based sandbox game after San Andreas. Played it probably a dozen times and they improved on everything from SR1.
Even did some things like customization better than GTA.
SR The Third completely killed any interest I had in the series.
Definitely case #7654 of if ain't broke, don't fix it.

SR2 was damn good building off the first one. Found the activities much more enjoyable too. Didn't even attempt playing the 4th one after reading the premise, lol.

Saint's Row The Third is one of the few games I legitimately regret spending $60 for.

Improved graphics and an improved engine for what? Extremely limited customization, barren city, sidequest activities disguised as missions, idiotic story....I could go on


The pleas copped when the demo came out and people tried to say that it wasn't "what the full game had to offer" and then it was exactly what the game had to offer
