The house of Saud is as close as we'll ever get to a modern day real life GoT, shyt is fascinating :ehh:

Honorable mention to NK. Least we forget Dear Leader poisoned his brother in an airport a year or two ago.

Also granted they’re not a family the Chinese Communist Party is still very active in purges and power struggles.

It's really interesting shyt, I mean who actually believed that gun battle was people shooting at drones. If he isn't dead someone definitely tried to give him that work.

He is alive it’s not his time yet. However MBS moves has garnered him many enemies. He is putting all his eggs to support from the people. He is basically a populist. The problem is when his promises to the people do not pan out and they turn against him. The 48 laws of power actually states what happens to leaders like MBS who are agressive and bold.
How many times has this scenario played itself out in history: An aggressive leader initiates a series of bold moves that begin bringing him power. Slowly, however, his power reaches a peak, and soon everything turns against him. His numerous enemies band together; trying to maintain his power, he exhausts himself going in this direction and that, and inevitably he collapses.”

The aggressive person is rarely in full control. He cannot see more than a couple of moves ahead, cannot see the consequences of this bold move or that one. Because he is constantly being forced to react to the moves of his ever-growing host of enemies, and to the unforeseen consequences of his own rash actions, his aggressive energy is turned against him.
Basically in the long turn he will exhaust himself by being reactive his enemies will get the initiative. We already see this in the foreign policy realm(Qatar blockade,Lebanon fiasco, allying with Israel against Iran, quagmire in Yemen). Domestically his list of enemies are plotting and planning when there is a time of weakness during his rule.

Saudi Arabia relies COMPLETELY on US support. No way they would do something this provocative to someone who apparently is in good graces of US. If it were a massive terrorist incident it’s one thing but for it to be a calculated move by political insiders....nah.

Bin Nayef was the USA's man to succeed Salman

MBS has consolidated power and used Kushner/Trump to give himself the legitimacy to go after the other members of the family.
