Well, here's the definition of income distribution in my economics textbook:

"Income distribution is the pattern or way in which income is divided between individuals, groups, or sectors within an economy".

What term would you prefer instead of distribution? Income allocation?
divided... distributed... allocated... :francis:
Maybe its my inability to separate income "distribution" from income creation :manny:But we will get to that later, let me make sure I got this straight.

Lets assume the GDP produced in the HL economy is $100, split $80 to TWISM and $20 to Truth200 . Enter a self-appointed busybody(Melbournelad) who considers this discrepancy “unfair” and proposes to remedy it by taking some of TWISM's income and re-distributing it to Truth200.

According to this interventionist(Melbournelad), the income "distribution" is “unfair.” A tax is proposed to alter the distribution of income. TWISM's income will be taxed and the portion taken will be "redistributed" to Truth200, thus narrowing the income disparity.

Is this pretty much what you have in mind? :ld:
