So what do you use to evaluate whats good and bad in the bible?

"God" was parting seas, answering prayers and proving that he was "real" in the biblical ages yet 2000 years later when we're getting breakthrough's in science and tech the omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent "God" is nowhere to be seen and has stopped "answering prayers" like a business that's conveniently disappeared after a large hustle

For God so loved the world? Does that ring a bell? So now the excuse is that, "God is free to be an a$$hole to some!" Let me help ya'll out. You can't win the game you are trying to play with me. I know my Bible and as a result I know that it is chocked full of Catch-22s and contradictions regarding it's teachings and messages....one minute it's love for everybody and the next it's death to those that don't follow the teachings(sounds a lot like an extremist view on things). Any preacher worth his salt knows this and will only preach from certain verses. I peep their game. Ya'll don't really want me to pull out verses...you don't want this L..trust me...but you'll just say the verses are outdated...even though the whole Book is supposedly the truth.....
You gotta be trolling with that question @Peter Vecsey. But I know you're not because you don't roll these forums pulling that troll bs. Matter fact, I'm all ears...go ahead and tell me how God's love ain't for everybody. This is comedy. Let a pastor get on the pulpit and say God's love is only for half the people in the room......he/she knows better than that...

God determines what's good and bad. He gave us guidelines to live by such as the Ten Commandments. But man couldn't follow them, so Jesus had to come. Jesus also taught a lot on how to live. What I think about what's good and bad doesn't matter. God has already determined what's good and bad. He already said it. The point is every man has to accept Jesus, or suffer the conseqeunces.
What does god think about progressive income taxes?

So what's the big deal letting them off the hook regarding the commandments? In fact, as forgiving as we are, we are likely closer to the commandments than they are, but we Lost because we turned our backs to God? Ya'll really need to say this stuff out loud to see how ridiculous it sounds.
