I think religion has to be taken with a grain of salt, literature you can glean wisdom from. But to follow it to the letter is 
status. There are wartime consiglieres and there are peacetime consigliere. When it's time for war, may have to put down the New Testament and pick up the Old Testament

Actually, the Dead Sea Scrolls still exist. They were written by Ancient Israelites in Hebrew and are very close to what is in the Torah and the Bible today. You can't fool everybody all of the time with a source like that being discovered. So from the days of it being written until now, it's still about the same as it was. The New Testament was written in the time right after Jesus died, so it's even easier to proof read with old scrolls written in Greek.

I was raised christian (not one anymore, just a theist) but thinking that God, being the all-encompassing God, isn't the source of ALL things. Good and bad is directly contradictory to saying God is all-encompassing. If he created "the Devil" then it is easy to see that God has/had the capacity for evil. But we must remember this very concept of "evil" is a man made definition. What happened at that church was tragic and no one would condone it. But "evil" is STILL subjective because in this dudes mind he was saving America. I'm just saying God lets things play out how they gon play out. Stop looking for some bearded white man in the sky to come and solve your problems. Far as i'm concerned God is just an artist sitting back staring at his own movie.
Then I hear people from that church talkin about some "I forgive you." I swear, that confederate flag still got nikkas wanting to please massa...fukk this nikka and fukk his mama and them too. He don't deserve ANY of our forgiveness.

Of course..... but that's not the point..... There's no need for discourse if you're not coming from a place of discernment..... I can create any talking point I want if I avoid context..... there is transcendent scriptural wisdom in the bible that anyone can benefit from...... never gets posted..... people only focus on the allegorical references, and even they have a parallel meaning to the world we live in today....
So like I said.... if you don't like Christianity that's fine...... but if you're going to debate it, your talking points are going to have be a lot stronger than that.... who discusses a book they've never cracked open..... only new age atheists get down like that....
