That and Kobe's money is the basis of this pitiful feud. Kobe's mother fell out when Vanessa and Kobe first got together and have been ever since. She sold all of his old jerseys, shoes, and trophies out of spite because Kobe wouldn't purchase her ANOTHER house as big as the one he bought for Vanessa's mother. It's well documented. Joe Bryant is bytch made for allowing his wife to act like that towards their son, even if they feel that what Kobe did was wrong.
Point blank, Kobe's mother is jealous that Joe cannot provide the same lifestyle that Kobe is giving Vanessa being an EX-NBA player.... and the fact that he married that Mexican chick.

Nah it's deeper than that even though that was one of the reasons. You can tell she has control issues. He was living with his parents like the first 2 or so years in the league, then he met Vanessa while she was in high school and they got married pretty much after she graduated and he was like 22.

Of course it's deeper than that. There is probably a lot of shyt that went on in that household that Kobe hasn't forgiven his parents for, especially his mother. I can tell by the stories that come out in the media and by Joe Bryant's passive behavior. Every time a story is released, Kobe is blowing up at his mother. Those familiar problems nurtured Kobe's personality. There's no doubt that he doesn't become the player he is without them.
Secondly, I can relate to Kobe because I have beef with my parents that I'm never going to get over because of problems that could have been dealt with, but like Joe Bryant, they were passive and didn't do not a damn thing when it was their obligation and responsibility to do so. A lot of people love to give parents the benefit of the doubt, but many of these parents that have children that hate them, especially in Kobe case in which they become successful and/or decently productive members of society, it's the parents who allowed chaos in the household which nurtured the permanent resentment.
I was 17, getting ready to turn 18 when they got together.... one year out of school. It's been a while, but Nessa isn't that old.
