Did Jesus have a masters degree?
Maybe he should have before we ran into all of these moral pitfalls and contradictions in the texts that a majority of humans pull their moral values from. That's part jest and part serious, imagine if religion started after a majority of philosophers leaned towards humanistic ideas. Imagine if after advancements in science, Jesus could realize the pig, smarter than an infant and a 1-2 year old was deserving of moral consideration given the only difference being limitations of potential cognitive capacity but due to a recognition of subjective experience, he grants the need for moral consideration and thus ends up promoting veganism. So he promotes a significant skip in Peter Singer's "expanding circle", so in a world where a majority humans can grant moral consideration for all species, imagine what they must do humans around them and across the world.
Expanding circle illustrated:
In truth, if everyone that contributed to the religious texts we had today, was required to debate and defend their positions and logically map them out before leading philosophers/logicians, they would have walked out defeated and thrown that "prophet" nonsense to the wayside. But lucky for them, all that occured during a time where someone could start speaking in tongues and not been seen as the loon that they are, where someone could claim lightning and droughts were the anger of god, and not be seen as someone off their meds.
Maybe Jesus should have got that masters.
