I wanted better Job security, at the time I was a manager at a Sony Retail store and making good money, but i could just FEEL the economy crumbling around me and I didn't want to be like alot of my other friends/associates who couldn't find work and were struggling. Also my Father was in the Air Force when he was younger, my older brother was a Marine when he was younger, and my cousin just spent the past 13 years in the Navy and it seemed to me like it marked a point of growth and maturation at that point in their lives.

So I said what the hell...

The mistake in my estimation that I made is that I feel like military institutions are best to get into when your young, around 18-22 because it CAN help mature you but after that period your pretty much already grown and set in your ways. I joined when I was 24 and some of the bullshyt they try to get over on you wasn't flying with me. Plus these Cacs with rank truly expect you to be on some "yessa boss massa" and that DAMN SURE ain't my style...

Overall its been an eye opening experience to say the least....


Turns out I was partially right though, the year after I joined that Sony Store closed down...

By the way......I know you don't have to be a citizen to join the army and can be a permanent resident.....

But do you think the same rule applies with the whole "Deferred Action" Obama did? Do you think the 2 years I have for temporary employment would also apply to working in the military?

I'm not joking around at all but I seriously am embarrassed to join Canada as a Canadian citizen.....everything about the country embarrasses me.....

Would be great to join at a young age(im 21) like you yourself did and to learn some life lessons

I do. I've got a 64GB iphone but ALL Nas albums get purchased on disc...

I buy the physical copies also, just figured it'd be less to carry around for you since you're on the frontline. It's all good though.

Yeah....your right. So you should be able to explain to your wife why you were getting your body ready for another man.


And if you are able to find out about that question...Thanks. Don't get me wrong I would like to experience it to learn some things but I also aspire to how more buffed up it would make my resume look if I got into it for a short while after I receive my bachelors in electrical engineering in the next couple of years.

By the way can you explain your job specifically to us please? To us novices who may not know too much

like as much as you can in terms of pay, location, job duties, benefits, basic training,etc

how would you go about justifying that you only just want to have it as a temporarily thing for say about 3 years?(obviously not to serve exactly since I know it would be selfish to just hop off the frontlines and ask to go back home lol)

In all seriousness with the exception of "Trust" "Roses" "Bye Baby" "Cherry Wine" and "Stay",etc ...LIG isn't aging that well to me. I mean obviously its a t goo:d album but its kind of to me...

I don't like "sequel" records so I'm not rooting for a "LIG2"

Hopefully Nas releases the title this month anyday now like he promised...
