Dantoni offense works well with 1 primary ball handler. Curry can play off the ball, Griffin can play the amare roll on the pick and role and Towns can score in many ways and float to the 3 point line and he would be right at home with dantoni system of no defense. Batum always struck me as a guy that would beast in that system and hit a lot of 3s.

Harden
Curry
Batum
Griffin
Towns

Current players homey.

No specific order
Curry
Harden
Westbrook
Irving
Wall

Even if we were using retired players Nash wouldn't make the list

Nash was nowhere near the level of any of the guys mentioned before he played for dantoni

To those who've mentioned guys like Wall, Westbrook and Giannis...have we seen evidence that D'antoni system works with a non-shooter?

Remember, this is who the Knicks did not want and felt like they could do better :mjlol:

I said it back then...this guy is a fukking genius on offense. He has evolved his style into this ridiculously efficient machine with a high level player again.

He was on the Knicks and had Jeremy Lin looking like an all-star.
He threw Lin in the game out of desperation lol.

Yeah, but it just goes to show you...any decent NBA player that buys into that system can basically run that offense well.

The funny thing is that Jeremy Lin is not a great ball handler and not the best shooter either. I am actually surprised I am the only one who has dropped Booker in this thread. That shooting ability with Mike D'Antoni? :merchant:

A healthy Derrick Rose would have been a nightmare for half a season.

Booker who'd be insane epically with how quick he is and his ability to shoot. He also has good handles and solid passing ability.

Booker could be a choice in a few years, but hes not top 5 now

But yeah, Jeremy Lin running that offense shows that pretty much anyone with at least one skill can run it

I knew that sohh didn't know shyt about basketball when they said Phoenix would have sucked if you swapped Nash for Iverson :mjlol:

No such thing as a non shooter in that system. Chris Duhon and Patrick Beverly weren't shooters but they didn't hesistate and actually shot a decent percentage. Actually, look at Boris Diaw. He didnt shoot 3's and it worked like a charm.
