Fad, and looked how that turned out with the Wii U.
How is the Switch 2 doing? That 450 price mark burned a lot of their market.

And Lost PlanetThey had GTA4 dlc, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden 2, COD dlc, and Mass Effect as timed exclusives.Microsoft wasn’t playing during the 360 era.
Bunch of mid hits100%.
My homies all had 360.
My girlfriend/future wife had Wii.
I had PS2/OG Xbox for a long time and waited until like '08 or '09 to decide. Homies kept pushing me to get 360 but for some reason, I wasn't feeling it. Then the RROD hit EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM, multiple times. Took my azz to the store and got a PS3.
I thought 360 was cooler but the reliability issues made it a no-go. Fun as hell to play Madden at my friend's cribs though.
Nintendo vs. Sega felt more like a real "war" though.
N64 vs PS1 felt like a battle because of Mario 64 and Golden Eye, but PS1 seemed like the top dog by late 1997 or 1998. MGS, Tekken 3, FFVII, Twisted Metal, Crash Bandicoot...felt like they had a hit coming out every other week.
Same. I didn't give a flying fukk back then, but the Sega commercials were funny. Was singing them joints whole time eyeballing a SNES in the SEARS Christmas Catalog.the sega vs nintendo war was good but i wasnt that invested in it...i just wanted to play games didnt matter what console i was using.
The 360 was definitely seen as the cooler console during that era. It was everywhere in pop culture and damn near the preferred console of that gen. Xbox live, prime COD, the timed exclusives/dlc, Gears, Halo 3, party chat, the controller, and better optimized multiplats. Crazy how Microsoft fumbled after that gen.360 was the only time xbox was ever cooler/hotter (dont ask me how) than playstation
