None. All they do is derail threads. You’ll see a thread with 400 posts and only the first two pages will have decent discussion. The following six pages is just two dikkheads going back and forth with each other. This was a huge problem when Nicole posted here.

Always bugged me, especially knowing that there's an option to just message that person and argue directly right there.

You don't need an audience to watch you type aggressively to another lonely dude. It's not even like it's Twitter where it could be archived and go "viral".

It's The Coli...and I say that as someone that's been here forever.

Lately, a thread gets to that point, I usually end up just closing the whole thing or skipping to the last page. I've got enough tabs open and things preventing me from getting through them to have one held up by all that corny nonsense.
