First off, much love to my pops. The greatest man I know and who I still rely on heavily today for advice.
4-He was always kicking knowledge. Taught me at an early age that knowledge is power. The more you know, the more you grow. That was his fav saying. Also would not accept anything lower than an A in his house. Very big on education
6-lol he was cheap. He’s also an engineer, and we’re conservative with our money anyways.
9-he was a man of God. Had us in the church, and can kick out a bible verse for any situation. I give him credit for giving me the gift of discernment when it came to the church. He’d pull us out of a church quick if he felt the environment was off. I can remember going to a church that would constantly sell goods, and that pissed him off. Got us up outta there.
3-my pop took/takes care of my mom and the household like James Evans. He didn’t want my mom to work during my sisters and i’s first few years and while we struggled, he took it all on. Paid off both his and my moms student loans, while being the only source of income in the house. He taught me about being a provider.
