Lakers, Silver gon bless them in the draft, wouldn't shock me if get Randle or Parker.
Not too mention, they'll probably sign Westbrook in a few years.
Yanks have no farm system, and their rotation will be decimated next year.

Yankees weren't that bad this year. They were only a few games from the wild card I believe.

It's easier to rebuild as a big market team in baseball.
This is what i was gonna say. I'm not a fan of baseball & don't know much about the sport, but couldn't the Yankees just throw around enough money to get a good team since there's no salary cap.

The Yankees, there money is long enough where they could just buy a winning team.

Basketball is not that simple :ld:

:rudy:

This is not 2001, most young(under 30) great players rarely see FA since they get extended. That's why it's key to stock up the farm system, so you can have young players for your team or use them to acquire proven players through trade. The Yankees as it stand have a horrible farm system, outside of Sanchez and Williams, and no young proven players outside of Nova. Not too mention, most their key players are leaving(via retirement or FA) or are on the decline.

Meanwhile in NBA, you can take on cap space for picks(ala what the Rockets did in 2010 by taking on Jeffries and picks, so the Knicks would have cap space for Bron). Not too mention, making the playoffs is far easier in the NBA. Not too mention, the Lakers will likely get lucky in the draft in the coming years, so all signs point to Lakeset.
