Which is harder Medicine or Engineering

My physician said he had roommates that were engineering majors when he was going to school, and he said he didn't know how they could do that shyt without their brains melting.

Yes, I had no life while studying Electrical Engineering.

Besides, in order to have medicine in the first place you need someone to engineer it first.

Medicine = being a marathon runner. You have to grind for a long azz time and there are so many "exit points" where you just may quit. Lots of weed out. You have to be smart but the key is persistence and work ethic.

Engineering = sprinter. You'll probably learn very quickly if you're cut out for it.

Several good friends are engineers (software, electrical and petroleum). These are the kind of dudes that could ace Calculus 1, 2, 3 etc, without even showing up half the time. Math is easy for them...they just have to learn and apply all the other concepts that come with engineering.

If you're struggling in Cal 2, intro to circuits or some other intro class....you're already behind.

I did engineering and computer science. Based on my experience, IMHO only the top engineering students could do médecine. This thought is supported by my non scientifically follow up of my high school class on LinkedIn. Out of a 100 students, 4 became engineering, only one became a doctor and she was the top student in school.

Also a form of primitive medicine existed way before engineering in paleo times when we were hunters gatherers. When Europeans were dissecting bodies underground (forbidden by church) at night to learn about humans, no need for engineering. Engineering only came into play after the introduction of machines and large scale production.

Got engineering grads literally telling everyone being a doctor is harder yet people still arguing

Some engineers I’ve worked with are some of the dumbest people ive ever met. God forbid if people’s lives depended on them vs a practicing doctor or specialized surgeon.

Engineering is more difficult, but Medicine seems more grueling overall. I chose Computer Science (in the college of engineering) over trynna be a doctor because I wasn't with 4 years undergrad + 4 years med school + 2-3 years residency before getting a job. My older bro just graduated in 4 years with CS and is making damn near 150k total compensation already.

I will never put computer science engineering on the same level as Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. CS is easier. I did 3 years of CS at a technical college than did 4 years EE with specialization in CS, hung with people that did 4 years CS. My best marks were in my CS class. 90% of my EE class required advanced mathematics. In CS, very few maths in the actual CS courses.
