He was playing with an injured back throughout the season and played like 11 games with the actual starting lineup, Lakers also had the best record in the NBA 2nd half of season. Anything else you want to say outta your ass?

Kobe was making Steve Nash play off ball. and that was even before the leg injury, and even when he came back he was playing well. Kobe was always too ball dominant to play with too many stars, especially a PG. :francis:

The Truth
Y'all are following the #s on some Morey shyt...

Level of Competition
Steph playing in OKC against KD/Russ who had a combined 63pts, 18asts, 19rebs

Kobe was playing a bum raptors team (their leading scorer in the game was Mike James). Their coach refused to double Kobe to teach his team a lesson.

Clutch Moments
Steph coming back from a rolled ankle, and hit the game winning shot in OT

Kobe's team won by 20, they had the lead in the 4th, he was just stat padding at that point

Style
Kobe took 46 shots, and shot 20 free throws to get to 81

Steph took 24 shots, and finished with the most 3s ever in a game, oh and he hit the game winner in OT on a pull up from 32 feet out..
--

David Thompson scored 73 points to win the scoring title. That doesn't make it a better game than Bron's game 6 against boston.

Gotta consider the stakes, the style, and the overall performance, not just the total points.
I'll give you credit for this...

But no, 81 is still 81. Those bum ass Raptors were still blowing out those bum ass Lakers before Kobe went :demonic: and started attacking mercilessly. Like, there was no one else for the Raptors to guard except Kobe and he just scored at will.

Once the game was well out of reach THEN LA let Kobe just score to see how high he could go.

But like I said, Steph was impressive. He has the ability to break that but doubt he will ever be in a situation where he needs to or cares too

That 81 point game was a result of Kobe demanding the ball against a garbage Raptors team... Still impressive tho

Tonight:
  1. Broke the NBA season 3 point record with 24 games still to play.
  2. Tied the all time single game 3 point record, with least amount of shot attempts.
  3. Kept the best team record in nba history alive
  4. Broke the record for clinching the playoffs
  5. Hit the game winning shot 10ft behind the arc, by choice not due to time .
  6. 58% fg, 75% 3pt shooting percentage
  7. C-walked on Kd, Russel Westbrook and Chesapeake Energy Arena in a primetime game on ABC .
:whew:

Someone make the Kobe list.
