He was playing with an injured back throughout the season and played like 11 games with the actual starting lineup, Lakers also had the best record in the NBA 2nd half of season. Anything else you want to say outta your ass?
Kobe was making Steve Nash play off ball. and that was even before the leg injury, and even when he came back he was playing well. Kobe was always too ball dominant to play with too many stars, especially a PG. :francis:

Y'all are following the #s on some Morey shyt...

Level of Competition
Steph playing in OKC against KD/Russ who had a combined 63pts, 18asts, 19rebs

Kobe was playing a bum raptors team (their leading scorer in the game was Mike James). Their coach refused to double Kobe to teach his team a lesson.

Clutch Moments
Steph coming back from a rolled ankle, and hit the game winning shot in OT

Kobe's team won by 20, they had the lead in the 4th, he was just stat padding at that point

Style
Kobe took 46 shots, and shot 20 free throws to get to 81

Steph took 24 shots, and finished with the most 3s ever in a game, oh and he hit the game winner in OT on a pull up from 32 feet out..

David Thompson scored 73 points to win the scoring title. That doesn't make it a better game than Bron's game 6 against boston.

Gotta consider the stakes, the style, and the overall performance, not just the total points.
this is what people don't get. Which is why Steph's performance is way more impressive.

Only reason I'd pick Kobe's performance is that he did that in regulation time, and Curry needed OT. Curry's performance was more impressive in the sense that he did it against a much better caliber team in OKC against two premier players in Durant and Westbrook and finished in spectacular fashion. Not only that, but he broke an NBA record (as did Kobe) and tied another one while doing so - plus he didn't need a glut of free throws to achieve this either. Oh, and he had to leave the game with an injury. Not to mention that the defending on Kobe was just terrible. They threw everything they could at Curry. They are on the same level imo.

Another question would be is this effort more impressive than Klay Thompson's 37 point quarter? :patrice:
what record did Kobe break? Wilt had 100
