Which Kill Bill film is superior?

I guess I'm gonna be "that guy"...

Kill Bill vol 1 was trash.
Ok, maybe not trash. It was a decent movie, but the ending, with her killing 100 ninjas by just flailing a sword around with zero display of skill made me .
I realize it's supposed to be over the top, but it was actually a decent movie up till that. I have no idea why I find that part so offensive, but it turns a decent movie into trash for me.

Kill Bill vol 2 was great, tho. Anything with Gordon Liu is great.

I would favor part 2 more and that's because of the pei mei chapter/sequence. fukkin dope.

Lau ka-fai was great in part 1 but pei mei is iconic.

it was totally different movie than the first, action was replaced with dialogue, dialogue and more dialogue. And it wasn't even the snappy kind like reservoir dogs/pulp fiction/Jackie Brown it just seemed like drivel. With some scenes being at least 20 mins long

I prefer volume one, but to be honest....I feel like Tarantino has gotten way too self-indulgent and it started with these movies. I really would prefer him to turn it down a bit.

I preferred volume 1 as a better cinematic experience but on tv both films have serious flaws in their own ways. As for the self indulgent thing I honestly thought with this and the grindhouse stuff he was getting flabby and sick but he came through with inglorious basterds. Shame he's reverted back to the funk he had in the 00s with django and now hateful 8




Ps speaking of self indulgent directors, paul Thomas Anderson is starting to lose me. Have tried watching inherent vice x3 and can't seem to stay awake past the hour mark.
