Season 2 is probably where I'd lean, if I remember all of the episodes correctly. The episode where they were stuck at the bus station and the Varnell Hill episodes are some of my favorites. Was the New Jack City episode season 2 as well?

I think season 2 is the best. After that it felt like the show became a little too self-aware, but I still enjoyed season 3.

2 and 3 was prime Martin.
Tommy wasn't Tommy season 1. Gina was strictly career woman season 1...she ain't have swag yet. Martin as Martin didn't hit his stride until season 2...his character he dressed up as were better season 1.
Yeah Wzup and You go girl/boy phrases came to be season 1...but that was a really short lived swag for Martin.
I still don't understand why season 4 & 5 intro overdid Wuzup in the intro. Martin was host of word on street by season 3.
