Breh, the Jags have won their division twice... and have made the playoffs 6 times in 19 years.

you gotta be a contender to win your division, before you can even talk about being a Super Bowl contender :heh:

Come on, breh. Brunell's Jags were nice. Couple of AFC championship appearances to show for it, including a 14-2 season in 99. :beli:

Taking emotions out of it, I think Garoppolo is the best of this group. Still have hope for Johnny too of course considering the season hasn't even started yet

Bortles, Geno Smith, Bridgewater and Garropollo. I'll say Bridgewater right now because he has a running game and Bortles will be throwing too much to put up great statistics. Bortles could still end up the best--as I think he's the best rookie QB right now--but he's not in as good a situation as Bridgewater.

Moving onto other QBs from the last two drafts, Geno Smith and Garropollo come to mind. Geno Smith could be very good this seaso (and not just because I'm a Jets' fan). He has a great deep ball and was tied for 5th in deep accuracy last season. The Jets' offensive scheme puts an emphasis on the running game and the intermediate to deep area. So if Geno can cut down the turnovers, his yards per attempt criteria will be high and he'll look like a great QB. I don't have enough information on Garropollo but people say he looks good. I think his upside is a less athletic Tony Romo though. So, my overall rankings right now are: Bridgewater > Geno = Bortles > Garropollo.

I'm going with Bridgewater coming up under Norv Turner. He's not bad at developing QBs (Brees, Rivers) & Bridgewater is no lower than the 2nd-best passer on this list as is. Black excellence :blessed:

How has Mettenberger looked in preseason?
Very good, actually. I think he threw for 200+ yards without much fanfare. However, he also reminds me of Carson Palmer--in terms of arm strength and mobility--and Palmer is ranked 20th in QBR. So I'm not as high on Mettenberger as I once was.

Something tells me he will be a steal for the Titans. LOL, did Murray get drafted?

Bortles and Bridgewater are the ones that stand out of pack, however I have to give Bortles the edge since he better fits the NFL mould. Neither will be an immediate standout and I think Bortles will be awarded more chances than Bridgewater.

Manziel is the wildcard in all of this. He has a good O-line good D and if Gordon gets his shyt together there's no telling how good he can be.
