NEW ERA
Damn near half of Brady's TD's went to one receiver and they were chucking until the very end. Peyton produced three WR's with 1000 yards, three WR's with over ten touchdowns. And sat a whole game. shyt is unreal.

If we want to bring up inclement weather, A-Rod completed at a higher passer rating and completion percentage in Lambeau. Driver, Jones, and Jennings all had worse seasons than the ones they had before, and the their run game was even worse than the Patriots, 1800 to 1500 with 250 of it coming from Rodgers himself.

I honestly don't even consider 2007 to be Brady's best season :yeshrug: That wasn't Tom Brady dominating, it was the New England Patriots dominating. 2010 was a better year. The numbers aren't close, but look what he had to work with. Throwing 3900 and 36 tds without anything resembling a #1 WR is :whew:
Rodgers' season came after a lockout which clearly affected the defenses something serious. Three QB's passed for over 40 touchdowns and three QB's passed for over 5000 yards. Now that's unreal.

I do believe Brady's 2010 year should be included though. I believe that was the most efficient QB season of all time if I remember correctly.

Gotta go with Marino. Nobody had ever done anything like that and it took 20+ yrs and rules changes for anyone else to do it again. AND he wasn't throwing to the likes of Randy Moss, TO, Rice, Harrison, Wayne, Bruce, ****, Faulk either. :wow:

I voted Kurt Warner. That was just something very special to see. They wasn't even running up the score or stat chasing like Brady and dem. The Rams even let the running game shine and Kurt still styled on 'em:wow:

I've always thought Dungy's lack of killer instinct held that team back. His philosophy permeated that team and was why they always lost to the Pats in the playoffs who would knock out their mom to win. The only time they beat the Pats in the playoffs was the one time Bill flinched.

Yeah Tony let his team take their foot off the gas late in seasons. It's ironic that the only year they won the SB is when they were the 3rd seed and had to play wildcard weekend.

When they were expected to win they didn't and when they were underdogs they won.

spygate helped

Spygate had nothing to do with the colts losing 41-0 against the jets in 01 when the pats went to the SB

Spygate had nothing to do with 03 and 04 when they lost in the snow and Manning sucked.

No one is saying Manning isn't good outside, he just isn't as good. Brady's stats in domes are absolutely insane. Give Brady a dome for 11 games in 2007, would his touchdown count still be at only 50?

Brady only has 14 career starts in domed stadiums. It doesn't matter what his stats look like because it's such a small sample of games. Thats not even a full season.

Manning does have better stats playing indoors vs outdoors, but the vast majority of his indoor games were also HOME games. QBs are going to tend to play better at home also. So it's tough to measure how much of his advantage is due to being at home vs to being indoors. It's impossible for Manning (pre Denver) to play outside and at home. How are you accounting for this? Even if you want to look at strictly outdoor games, you have to bring Rodgers into the fold. Small sample sizes yes but Rodgers stats in his 12 outdoor games in 11 > Brady's in his 15 outdoor games in 2007.

We wanna play the what if game? Give Manning 578 passing attempts in 04 and he would've been on pace to score 57 TDs statistically.

Again, small sample sizes though.

The Manning had Edge argument holds 0 water. That Colts team had 1853 total rush yards at 4.3 YPC. The Pats had 1849 at 4.1 YPC. It's nearly identical. The Patriots as a team just ran nearly 100 more plays than the Colts.
