DMX gets the title as a solo rapper, yeah. But I would say with EVERYTHING involved as far as commercial success and marketability, it HAS to be Bone Thugs-N-Harmony as a collective. Them nikkas were selling multi-platinum albums and all of a sudden, they just went downhill

In all fairness 50 Cent was getting too big to ignore at the time. It wasn't like Jim Jones dissing Jay-Z or something where one of the rappers was a peon compared to the other and could simply be "ignored". I'm not a 50 Cent fan in ANY sense but you couldn't ignore the epic buzz surrounding 50 leading up to GRODT plus the Wanksta single which was pretty huge (Direct shots fired). Ja had to retaliate

Ja Rule, lost the same thing as Dmx but he wasn't as big as X.
Master P fell of quite hard as well, still has some of his money though.
I wouldn't count one hit wonders though, cause they were really never on to begin with cats like Vanilla Ice.
He didn't have time to get used to being that high up.
