I always felt bad for Canibus. His diss response was solid, he only lost due to popularity. His rap battle tho.....
Canibus' downfall was all because of his lackluster first album. After Can-I-Bus dropped, nothing was ever the same! Canibus was highly anticipated and let everyone down and hasn't really been fukked with in the mainstream since.

Blu (Blu & Exile). Remmeber the hype & praise "Below The Heavens" got. Havent got into it still. Seems like he got on some drugs & it messed him up after dat tho. Cant believe its been 9 yrs since that dropped. Geez..seriously..

Personally i love Can-i-bus. Being lyrical is a catch 22 in the game. Same thing Slaughterhouse has been facing. They wanted Canibus to do some straight 1000 bars shyt, but at the same time he was on a major (Universal), so he had to make music & sell.

I dont feel it was corny music, but bcuz hes lyrical his fanbase would not accept anything but straight lyrics shyt. He still delivered lyrics but over music executed by Wyclef. Maybe not the right person, but it wasnt bad imo.
