Only a gay nikka would do some shyt like that. I can see people getting influenced subconsciously by listening to their favorite artist, but to study a nikkas whole style is wild mango.

For example, I make beats. When I first started out I was making a lot of sped up soul sample beats. Tha's because I like Kanye's style and was subconsciously influenced by his beats. But I didn't sit down and study his music to try and learn to make beats like him.

I'd say Pac but I didn't really study him like that, his music was like my therapy.

I'd say Canibus and then Eminem as far as starting to really write rhymes. I had always written poetry and shyt but those two in particular really got my wheels turning.

Lyricist Lounge Vol 1 - 1998
Dj Clue - The Professional - 1998
Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs 1999
Soundbombing II - 1999

I would listen to these albums over and over again, amazed by some of the shyt I heard. Then I magically felt like I could do it out of nowhere. Then I did it. I still do it now. Listening is studying. Subliminal influence is real.
