Besides Whitney Houston, what other singers do you feel mastered all 10 techniques? Or, was she the only one to do so?

1. Resonance

2. Vibrato

3. Colorature

4. Inflections

5. Scaling up and down

6. Natural

7. Falsetto

8. Throat, diaphram and head singing

9. Crescendo and decrescendo and breath control

10. staccato and perfect diction

This comment was from someone who posted from one of the Whitney Houston videos above:

When you see her mouth tremble when she sings you know she is in the zone, Whitney mastered her voice and that is the gift of an anointed singer, but God gave this child not only an anointed voice but he gave her one of the keenest ears, its like her voice is a fine tuned Steinway piano, or a stradavarius violin so rare precious but oh so sweet to the ears. Many think if they can do a run or inflection like Whitney they are up for the challenge these elements are just the tip of her talent if you have a trained ear for beautiful music Whitney is a master of all the techniques, 1) resonance, 2) Vibrato, 3) Colorature 4)inflections 5) scaling up and down 6) natural 7)falsetto or soft soprano for a woman 8) throat, diaphram and head singing 9) Crescendo and decrescendo and breath control 10) staccato and perfect diction. With all of these mastered in one voice how can you not be the "Voice" many people can't master half of these in one life time and she mastered all 10. This girl can hold a note and before letting this last air run out no how to close it out and inhale and start with the next note....Truely uncomparable, don't get me wrong Aretha can sang, but even Aretha couldn't hold a candlestick to Whitney sorry! She is the voice of all voices! That gift will not be passed out for a very long time...especially in that magnitude!

:ohhh: Wow. now that's a fascinating topic..

Whitney is the greatest vocalist ever hands down IMO so they're on point, but I do believe there are very few others just a notch or 2 below her

1) Mariah Carey in her prime.

2) Will Downing

3) Phyllis Hyman

There are other singers that are obviously great like Shirley Murdock, Brian Mcknight, but they have that gospel church rawness though, not that classically trained type voice if that makes sense.

Great choice, but Bofill would hang on notes, she wouldn't "bend" them or hit a run the way whitney would.

That's what set her apart from those broadway type singers with big voices from her era
yea now that you point it out, i don't hear as much dynamics in her singing.

My picks are all males who can hit both high falsetto and deep notes effortlessly
