I think the media will start turning on KD if they don't win the title this year, Melo is under pressure but if they make it to the ECF he'll get a pass regardless of what happens there.

This is only his 5th year, i don't think he will start to see scrutiny until year 7 if they don't win.

:stopitslime: the rockets are just happy to be there. There were many people who didnt even think they would make it this season and this is harden's first year as The guy

just happy to be there? lol damn you make em sound so crappy :deadrose:

i say harden because he has the worst supporting cast of them all and its not like he isnt expected to take them somewhere with his 1 million dollars makes all the difference in the world stingy havin ass

how soon we forget the fukkery of that deal

Melo easy. Finally got HC. Finally got a scoring title. Playing in NY. Another 1st round exit and the media is going to unleash on him.

Bron/KD/Westbrook all have high expectations but not necessarily pressure. If those teams lose it's gonna be all about how whatever team beat pulled the upset especially if its' NY for MIA and LA for OKC. If the Knicks lose it's gonna be all about Melo. He's gonna get the Lebron in 2010 treatment if they don't at least get to the CF.

CP3 stays pretty under the radar in this regard usually. They have a tough matchup with a pre-season sleeper in the 1st round on top of that.

What else do they have outside of harden... Lin?:mjpls:

Even if harden plays poorly or loses I don't see him getting much criticism because of his supporting cast and the fact many people didnt even expect them to make the playoffs. And this is his first year as the franchise player. The rockets are a really young team

The only correct answer is Lebron. Not Durant, not Melo, not CP3, not Harden, not anybody else.

I honestly can't believe what I'm reading in here.

To be honest, I still think LeBron has a lot of pressure on him, or at least there is the POTENTIAL for an incredible amount of pressure on him if they DON'T win the title.

Let the Heat not win this season's championship and he's going to be right back on 2009 level scrutiny.

As far as Melo, as long as he gets to the ECF and loses to the Heat, he's good money. In fact, I think playing in the LeBron Era is going to make it acceptable for Carmelo if he never wins a title, in the same way people today don't REALLY consider Barkley, Malone, Ewing, etc. underachievers or anything like that.

Still Lebron, all the potential matchups have their handicaps, Mia has walked thru the season...it's basically a given for them to win, and of they don't, it's back to bron ain't no killer
