How is Dallas up there but not Utah?

When Rose went down and y'all sent Deng packing I think a lot of people thought y'all was bout to be in full tank mode.None of those teams outside of PHX were ever in contention for a top 5 pick
thread makes no sense

But they would've felt the same if they saw a team with a healthy Rose, Noah and a top 5 pick, a top 16 pick and enough cap space to add other talent after signing a max FA.Bulls were never tanking. They had a bad stretch after rose got injured and slumped then traded deng to get under the luxury tax then overachieved/hustled backwards the rest of the year
If they were tanking hinrich, dunleavy & gibson woulda been traded when they had the chance augustin woulda never been signed and marcus teague woulda started at pg all year. The only good out of this is that melo and love potentially want to come here cuz they see the bulls are one star player away from being a title team if they get neither![]()
Probably the Knicks if we're going to be completely honest about it.

Do you really think you can go far with Demar and Lowry being your best players?![]()

And I think a lot of people, even ATL fans felt like pre-season they were gonna be a lottery team, possibly getting a top 5 pick.
I remember a lot of Toronto fans was talking that Wiggins talk so obviously they felt they had a chance to have a top pick this season.

Gar and the media always talk about how it's important to have flexibility to take advantage when a star comes, but we really don't have much.
Look at what we'd have to do to get Melo. We're probably gonna have to give up a pick, maybe both to get rid of Boozer's contract because we don't wanna amnesty him. Mirotic, who we've been hyping up for years will probably have to stay, we'd have limited cap space to add other players.
Val was a top 5 pick just a few years ago. Would of gone higher but had buyout issues and teams like Cleveland can't draft. Can also just act like Ross (a top 10 pick) has zero potential and Ujiri can't draft even with mid first round picks. Or they don't got the Knicks/Nuggets pick in 2016 and cap space.
Real treadmill teams don't have 2 young starters with real potential, multiple first rounders and cap space. They could of tanked but they weren't catching the Bucks or Philly. Really doubt they end up with a top 3 pick, prob something like 8th.
