This is a thread for the :flabbynsick: but the SNES was like the PS2 to the Genesis’ Xbox. Both great consoles. I had a Genesis when I was like 3-4 years old so it basically introduced me to video games. I had this model

Sega negged themselves by having all those different add-ons, and different variations of the Genesis such as the one I had, costing people more money that they wasn’t trying to spend.

I had both, mortal kombat 3 was better on snes imo

And super techmo bowl was better on snes

But sega had sonic and triple play baseball

Both systems were good wit me :yeshrug:

Word, I had both....But I started smoking weed in 93 and that combination of being high while playing Madden on Genesis was something special.

Snes was overly ambitious in regards to graphics processing and sound ; Some games were perfect or damn near perfect emulation of their arcade counterparts. Then there were about 60 other games were the SNES was clearly going over its limitations in some aspect because the shyt would play akward.

Genesis didnt have the massive color pallet and resolution of a SNES but it new how to stay in its lane and consistently provide the best gaming experience within its limits. Most games were fast, fluid, and just overall fun to play while SNES games outside of the flagship titles looked and almost sounded like an arcade quality but fell short in trying to do so half of the time and usually resulted in some games moving sluggish. Like trying to play Halo on an old windows 98 PC with a shytty graphics card.

SNES clearly has the better hardware, But Genesis had developers who used its hardware more efficiently.

I fukked with both consoles; When it came to sports, Racing, and RPGs, SNES got that easily
When it comes to Beat'em ups, Fighting games, and action-adventure platformers Genesis performed better.

If I had to choose , Definitely the Genesis for overall performance and the genre of games i prefer

Reppin
Homicide Investigations
Genesis - Sonic, road Rash, skitchin, streets of rage

Vs

SNES - Mario and Donkey Kong

Most the other games I liked were available on both consoles, you can't go wrong either way but I always preferred the Genesis

Edit

Just one more thing, I'm sure the majority of us are :flabbynsick:
