Which will main event a major show first: Cruiserweight Division or Women's Division?

Will the WWE actually let one of them main event a major televised event (not RAW or Smackdown)? I'm counting B-level ppvs on the Network as "major shows."

I know Sasha/Bayley had NXT Takeover, but it wasn't a WWE show. Would Cokeboy actually put them in the main event of a WWE ppv?

I have a feeling in the back of my mind that the Cruiserweight division might die out within 2 years. I hope it doesn't, but the track record with the WWE... :patrice:

I can see them letting Sasha and Charlotte main event a B-Show but they would have to make it one of those World title defenses where the champ faces a midcarder similar to the Cena/R Truth feud.

With the sheer amount of PPVs nowadays, I think they should approach it a bit differently. They should take the UFC approach & just throw together cards that don't necessarily have to cater to the WWE Heavyweight/Universal championships, but instead build towards the feuds. Build the major title defenses to be a rare occurrence that doesn't happen every 3 weeks. They could easily rotate to have the women main event one PPV, the cruiserweights headline the next, maybe the tag championships headline the next and have the WWE/Universal title headline the bigger events like Rumble/WM/SummerSlam/SS.

Some of the women are already up there popularity wise with a lot of the men so I have to say them UNLESS WWE decides to have some of the smaller guys like Finn Balor cut weight to get to 205 and make it prestigious like "look at all these former heavyweight champions, they want this belt too" etc.

They need to find some patience with Bayley - the real reason her title run exploded in NXT was because she was last in the queue (with apologies for ignoring Becky's lack of an NXT title run to make this point)... Sasha, Charlotte and Becky were at "title level" but Bayley was booked as the sweet girl who put in all the effort but kept coming up short... maybe she was just too nice for the business... then Sasha went ultra-heel so the crowd NEEDED a Bayley - when she finally got the title of Sasha it was huge.

Bayley shouldn't be in the title picture until she's racked up some crowd sympathy through valiant losses... it's Sasha's journey right now.... by the time Bayley's ready, Sasha should've been given enough time to make her turn and start making kids cry at ringside again.

If Bayley gets the title in 2016 someone fukked up.

They would really have to change their business model for something like this to happen. Whats interesting is that in real fighting, whether its boxing or UFC, non-heavyweights main event a LOT and are a huge draw. But we know that wrasslin has always established that the Heavyweight belt is the only one that matters. Plus we have seen cruiserweights win the heavyweight belt which clearly lessens the cruiser title (and the world title, plus the idea of weight classes). I just dont see the biz going in the direction of putting cruiser guys over to that extent.

And when it comes to the women I dont think theyll be able to politick their way to the main event. Sasha Bayley aint going on last if Brock is on the card, for example.

I could see them doing the cruiserweight title just because there's the possibility of someone on the main roster moving "down" to the cw division. **cough Seff/ Samicough** in somebody's hometown. Or some weird special Japan network special with Tozawa.
