I didn't know the book existed until this movie came out...
I dunno, did anybody actually know this book existed? I'm a white male and I never heard of it until I heard of the movie.

Same thing with Hunger Games, until I heard some women at work talking about it because they were making a movie

Exactly, right after a movie was optioned I started hearing people praise Twilight.
I didn't know the book existed till I heard my mom talking about it.
One of my home girls called me reading it to me and asked if the shyt was true.....didn't know about til then...

And a lot of people were talking about this book before anyone knew a movie was on the horizon. So I call ducktales on the almost universal ignorance in the Arcadium.
The movie did insult my intelligence by the book being made into a McGuffin.

To be honest, I never knew the Hunger Games existed until a week after the movie came out.
