I think it's worth catching up on...but you can defintely skip eps...like there's a span of 3-5 eps where ain;t shyt happen.

from there, you can prob watch the premieres, mid season/season finales, then this season and you probably wouldn't miss much. the in betweens were pretty dull for the most part

Sounds like you were halfway through 8, you could probably get away with watchting the mid season premiere and the finale since that season didn’t really improve, but the whole of this season has been pretty fire and the best it’s been in a few years easily.
