I'm sure the cop was lying about that just to mock the kid. He immediately asked for license registration, and insurance. He was 100% getting a ticket.

But that kid had watched too many of those YouTube videos about dealing with cops and immigration checkpoints without knowing how or when to apply them. He was pulled over with cause. All of that stuff goes out the window at that point. He should have set up his camera to record discreetly, done nothing out of the ordinary (so he doesn't make himself memorable and so the cop doesn't bother writing a detailed report), and built his case for the court.

Dog I've been asked for those items and havent gotten a ticket. Kid wanted to disagree with the cop off jump saying 'trust me, you had your highs on'. People gotta be less emotional and more logical. Like seriously, wtf is arguing with a pig going to accomplish? If they want to give you the ticket, they're going to, or haul your ass to jail for failure to comply. ORRRR you can stand your ground and end up a martyr for a disorganized movement.

Yes, he should've complied, whether or not the cop was in the right or wrong. You lawyer up and fight the police DURING COURT, NOT ON THE STREET, because you WILL NOT WIN. It is better to ease your hand out of the crocodile's mouth than to yank it out. All of these wanna be lawyers land themselves in deep shyt bout anytime when dealing with police. Get a real lawyer and handle that shyt afterwards. He didn't comply, got tased, then got up and fukking attacked the cop, he fukking pretty much begged to get shot.
