Only thing I’ll say is they get trained to look for stuff like this, and there’s major examples of kids being trafficked. Like, I’ve seen the videos and it happens more often than people think. So the fa didn’t really do anything wrong suspecting it.

Now for the company not following up and smoothing things out afterwards? :hubie:

I need more information, nothing in that article makes sense.

This is what I think they are alluding to but not outright saying.

- Daughter (10y) was crying hysterically on the plane
- Mother was not in the same emotional state as daughter
- Mother kept on asking passengers if they could sit together
- People (flight attendant) assumed that the mother was forcing the child to do something that the child did not want to do
- Instead of assuming the child was angry or emotional or some shyt.. flgiht attendant jumped all the way to human trafficking? :skip:
- On a flight domestic flight to denver? :skip:

Yeah I would have to assume something racial too if i was the mom. Cuz i dont know how you get human trafficking from that.
This may help

Yea this is true, but they didn't manage to do enough research ON THE PLANE to get more information about possible human trafficking. You can have a flight attendant stand around to get so e type of confirmation that the situation ain't right.

Just simply looking at the woman and the girl would IMMEDIATELY show you that they look VERY similar.

I work for an airline. Every year they make us watch videos on how to pick up signs of human trafficking. In those videos they also show us examples of flight attendants successfully catching people in the act. It’s pretty crazy.

Everything beyond the flight attendant doing her job though is out of my league. Cause as soon as you realize you messed up that kind of becomes a trauma incident for the kid so it’s just wild they didn’t follow up.

I dont see anything wrong. If the flight attendant was actually right, she would be praised a hero. Human trafficking is a bigger problem then people wanna admit. I'm glad she went with her gut despite being wrong

Nah, you typically don’t do anything while they’re in flight. There’s an example they show us of a woman communicating via napkins when she goes to the bathroom… you don’t want to cause suspicion during, but wait for authorities. It’s also one of those things where if you’re wrong, it’s like damn, but if you’re right, you just possibly saved someone’s life.

I’m just glad I’m not on the inflight side of things and don’t have to worry about all of that.

So you think discrimination is ok cause sometimes they are right? So you would be cool with stop and frisk policies cause sometimes they really do catch people with drugs on them? Or maybe it's cool for retail employees to use their gut feelings to detain black folks cause sometimes they will catch people stealing.

That's a ridiculous point of view. Watching a few training videos does not make flight attendants detectives or human trafficking experts. Nobody should be accused of a crime by someone's gut feeling unless they actually witness a crime or have real evidence.

With so many black children go missing, this should happen more often. Any cac with a black child is suspect.

SW Airlines did they job. :manny:
