Shout out to the legend for respecting his ring. He will be remembered a lot longer than a lot of these $200 Million Max guys in the NBA.

Your post doesn’t make sense. Williams is remembered more because of his on court style of play with the Kings than his championship ring with the Heat.

From a dude who got close to being a Rand University guy, playing long enough in the league to contribute to a championship is validation for him deciding to clean up his act.

Think the answer depends on which city you won the ring. In the right sports market, being part of a championship run sets you up for opportunities forever.

Jason Williams comes off as someone who is fulfilled. Like he literally was able to live out his dream. For someone like him, the championship means more than the extra money.
