Still can't believe how many people fall for the Nazis being "socialist." They're not socialists just because they call themselves socialists. :cmonman:
One thing I will add is that there have been fascist movements all over the world and a number of fascist regimes in non-white countries, which acted for a number of reasons outside of race. While looking at white fascism is a really good way to understand seminal events of European/American history, it's relevant to contemporary American politics, good way to understand a complex political and social dynamic etc., I would say looking at what fascism is through the scope of mostly one ethnicity doesn't accurately explain fascism entirely. But I guess like he said, it's hard to define because it's "whatever gets 'Us' in power." Good video.
Japan was notoriously fascist once upon a time but they got nuked. Fascism swept through Latin America but their leaders were White.
I really don't know any non-White Fascist government outside of Japan.
The more I'm looking into this, the more I'm seeing that all these guys are white.I spoke too soon.
Then is race the single biggest motivating trait among supporters? I'm trying to think of it in terms of religion and class, both of which seem debatable. But the common thread seems to be a steady consolidation of power through identities, and the most obvious is race.
One of my favourites...
