I remember working in a resturant and during our lunch time (right before we served dinner) one of the crew would cook the rest of us a meal. One time we were treated to steak and at the time I always hated the consistency of fat (Mom/Dad would cook porkchops and I would always cut off the fat) so I always associated that consistency with raw/rare meat.
Anyways I ordered my steak well done and the chef gave me the . I was young and like .

I eventually tried my steak medium rare and haven't looked back since.

it depends on the cut of meat but I like my steaks Medium. cooked, but with a little pink inside and a little blood to mix with my steak sauce. tender, juicy and delicious.
