No, those are different scenarios. We don't benefit from state sanctioned violence the way whites do. It has a sum-benefit to them but a sum-negative to us. The "sacrifice" they are making is allowing for and promoting a militarized and violent police force that will occasionally eat one of their own. In exchange, they get to terrorize and oppress us.

the fact is...ALOT of white people lack empathy. This lack of empathy allows them to not give a shyt if someone is killed by the police. Often times, the only time they do care is if something bad happens to them personally or someone they love. Let their brother, nephew, father etc get killed by the cops..THEN they will care about police brutality
