White House sanctions Russia over hacks

Sustained low oil is destabilizing. It hurts Russia. It hurts Saudi Arabia. It hurts the rest of OPEC countries, some to the point of catastrophe like Venezuela. It hurts US oil drillers, which has a domino effect. Countless people out of work. Investors fukked. Bank balance sheets imploding.

You know, there was a time where piano manufacturing used to employee thousand times more people it does today. That was until the invention of the Phonograph which led to the decline of every house having a piano to entertain with music and you could play music on records. Now piano manufacturing is a niche market.

This idea that an industry needs to always employee people or be the buttress of economies, just because, is non-sense. Oklahoma and to a lesser degree, Texas, are currently suffering due to lower gas prices. Low gas prices are great for the consumer and the question needs to be asked, why do we need to make the consumer suffer because these economies failed to diversify? They better pick up them bootstraps. The funny thing is that Oil companies aren't hurting because they are investing in alternative fuels and shale oil to pick up the decrease in prices.

If they maybe invested in drawing in other businesses besides oil companies, they would be able to lessen the economic pain. Not the rest of the country problem here as it relates to Texas and Olkahoma. California and New York doesn't have that problem.

There's a similarity btwn this and Iraq wmds, I guess. But at least with Iraq it went to Congress and forced the administration to lie to the world.

In this case no one is disputing whether or not hacking accorded. This isnt the first time a country has accused Russia of hacking their government. Russia is also harboring someone the US has charged with espionage, who also likes to leak US secrets.

Why shouldn't this be investigated?

I'm not saying states and non-state actors don't try to hack. But where is the evidence, or are you just echoing what you've heard in the MSM echo chamber?

I think destabilizing the Ukraine and annexing Crimea was more important issues in the administration mind instead of less important social issues.

With regards to the validity of the hacking accusations, we have to recall the nexus of their story that it was indeed the Russians.

I recall the original logic being, the DNC says a Russian hack was conducted because the RNC had also been hacked but no evidence was released against them. However, since the representatives from the RNC were not willing to go along with that lie, they instead have ignored that piece and modified the story - The RNC was NOT hacked, and since only the DNC was hacked it must be the Russians because the Russians only hate Democrats.

It's unbelievably stupid.

On top of that there's more evidence to suggest that it cannot be a hack because there would be digital records of someone trying to access the e-mail accounts from an unknown or unauthorized IP addresses. I too conclude that it must be a leak because they STILL do not know who did it, which suggest that it must be someone who has explicit access and would not be suspected in any way whatsoever.

Furthermore, the publisher of said information, Assange, steadfastly maintains that the source is not Russian.

The saddest thing is that they cannot deny the content of the e-mails but instead tell us we shouldn't be outraged at the blatant corruption and evil that is Hillary and her cohorts, but the covert means that they were obtained. They tried to say that the corruption was 'typical' but the simple fact of the matter is that us regular normal people do believe in right and wrong, and we don't like to pretend.

The accusation is a blatant lie and its simply the Clinton machine trying to achieve their goals despite them not gaining the presidency.

I should also add that these same intelligence agencies refused to brief Congress on their findings but were willing to brief the electors just before the electoral college vote. Seems like they've now scrounged together some more papers and will be ready to give Trump his briefing next week.
