Something is better than nothing, but this potentially isn't much. Say for instance Congress passes a bill where each person gets a one time $1,000 check and your CONSERVATIVE monthly bill situation is...


$180 for car note

$120 for car insurance

$60 for wifi

$100 for phone bill

$700 for rent


...most of those numbers are on the low end of what most people pay, rent especially. That doesn't take into consideration people with children or relatives they take care of.


I just don't see the effectiveness of a one-time check when most or all of that money won't even get pumped back into the economy.

If this happens does it mean that everyone will get the same regardless of what you make now?

Or does it mean that everyone will just be getting a small stipend in addition per week/month?
