It really depends on mgmt and the type of restaurant. Higher class restaurants wont let that slide and will ask the parent to leave. Some restaurants exist purely for the sake of meetings and conversations of adults.

In a chill restaurant, mgmt would ask the man to deal with it and pull out a kiddie stool.

Generally speaking children dont belong in restaurants beyond the fast casual chains. Based on the decor of that restaurant they don't seem like the pretentious type.

She's wrong, of course. Tons of parents think like her and it's wrong. Paying customers at restaurants, movies theaters, planes etc ain't tryna hear "it's just a baby, you can leave!"

No bytch, y'all stay the fukk at home if you ain't gonna even try to calm your child home. That's what I like about Japan, businesses will kick people like her out with the quickness cuz people ain't tryna hear all that bullshyt.

Exactly. I get that it’s a kid and kids cry, but to just let it go on and on is not courteous to the other paying patrons at the establishment.

People are just selfish and have no empathy for no one else but themselves. Calm your kid down lady, it’s simple…but she’d rather argue than take advice

Yup. I’m siding with whitey on this one. :mjpls:

Why should people have to be inconvenienced for other people’s lack of consideration? Then she started ranting about her child being ā€œnon-verbal.ā€ Ok? What does that have to do with it?

Most people just want to go out and have a quiet meal. To be fair, we don’t know how he approached her. If it was mad disrespectful, then he deserves to get checked.

But she ended up causing a scene anyway, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was being hyperbolic.

What the fukk is sensitive hearing? :what:

He sitting on the other side of the restaurant. Stfu

It's a sensory overload issue. People who are neurodivergent often suffer from this. Doesn't matter if its in a restaurant or in the street ots the pitch of the sounds. Like if you was in the street and see someone turn away and cover their ears or hunch their shoulders up when they hear a emergency services siren same thing.

People with bad ass unruly kids or even just babies that are screaming should remove themselves from spaces when they know their presence is disruptive to the general public. It’s quite literally disturbing the peace.

I dunno what makes people think folks just suppose to suffer that bullshyt. Saying ā€œwhat do you want them to do, it’s a baby?ā€ is a ridiculous question because obviously no one is expecting the baby to pack their bag, hop down for a high chair and walk off. Everyone wants YOU to do that for the baby and to leave or control your child. If you can’t do one, common decency means it’s expected that you do the other.
