Raise your daughters to have discernment, self-respect, and a healthy amount of skepticism. That is really the best you can do about this situation. You can't protect those who are not under your protection. You can't stop those who have agency and choose to use it to their own detriment. You can warn them, but it is up to them to heed the warning. The best you can do about this is raise up well adjusted children, hoping that they do not participate in the problems.

So once you get beyond the sensational part of stats and look inside the numbers you start seeing little stuff like this:

So when you are just looking at a number you don't realize that the stats are not stating what people think that they are stating. There is a difference between homicides of women and partner violence homicide of women. So what those stats point to is that Black women are not dying in domestic partner violence at the same percentage as Hispanic women, which means that you are overstating and attributing Black women death to to intimate partner violce at at higher rate than in reality. In other words you purposely conflated information. When I look at those stats it leads me to to believe that Black women and Native American women are dying at the hands of men in some other manor which points to stuff like substance abuse and prostitution. In other words those two groups are exposing themselves to abusive violent men. Kind of like the girls in the videos.

There is some truth to what you stated, but if you look at the stats you begin to realize that drugs/substance abuse is the likely reason that Black women homicide rates are so high. Those rates are on par with Native American women who we know historically have substance abuse issues. So you are correct because in order to get those substance those women likely come into contact with thugs and bad boys and those are the men along with the violently mentally ill that commit violence against women.
What we need from the stats is greater clarification. How many of 4.4 out of 100,000 were substance abusers, prostitutes or homeless women. That is why stats are so deceiving, because they don't really tell the true story for normal functioning Black women and Black men. They mostly point to the activities of the underbelly of communities.
