I wholly agree with the last part but where are white people being normalized in the video? I understand the idea of tap dancing and I'm loathe to do so but at what point do we stop limiting levity.
Imho all the levity in race conversations is relegated to satire which, from firsthand knowledge, stifles creativity. This video is funny but not great. However, it should open up a dialogue that most folks ITT aren't willing to have.
This could be the first thread where all the usage of the word "c00n" is justified. This video was cringeworthy as fukk...

As soon as I saw Slink Johnson at the beginning, knew it was gonna be some stereotypical shyt.
All of these lame "White People ____ For The First Time!" videos end up being condescending and racist pretty quickly. Like someone else said there have recently been a lot of videos of white people documenting black people like they're National Geographic subjects. To me there is a clear link in the rise of these videos to the widespread gentrification of black enclaves across the country.
Vice, Noisey, 'Hood Pranks,' and channels like this one all develop content around venturing into black areas and presenting it like we're some kind of remote tribe. It's all very insulting and if we look at the history of white people, they always send their scouts in first on some peaceful shyt become they commit some atrocities. Back in the day it was Christian missionaries and pilgrims, now it's hipster cacs.
