i have Jamaican relatives and was never really too crazy about reggae, but now I almost can't stand it. I remember when my family would play it and I would vibe to it, but after seeing so many white people with fake dreads blasting their reggae and smoking weed and shyt, it really put me off to it for some reason and I can't put my finger on it. Now a lot of the shyt played sounds so identical to me and I can't get the image of a fake white hipster rasta in my head

You must think Reggae music is only Bob Marley. Go listen to Burning Spear etc. Reggae music has a deep roster that hasn't been contaminated with the stance of the soulless CACs.
